I woke up to the sound of an empty house. I tossed and turned for a while trying to go back to sleep but it was almost 10pm already, so why not get up? I rolled out of bed and headed straight for the bathroom to look at myself in the mirror. Man, do I need a shower...
I flipped on the light and found that there was a little box sitting on the toilet seat cover, with a sticky note. It said: Please watch The Whole Picture on TiVo before you open this, I <3 U, Mother. I look at it for a moment and decide 'Alright, I'll play along for a little bit.' I walk out of the bathroom and straight to the TV with the TiVo, with that show I'm supposed to watch. I flip it on and finally watch the program. All it had was tips and tools of how to take professional images with a Camera, and ways to enhance photos with the use of programs for the computer. Finally, finishing it.
I stared at the box for a moment and walk upstairs to find my Mother and ask what was in it, but found she wasn't home and at the downtown Bar having a few.
I tear open the box, the damn lanky thing...And find a PC program CD inside. Adobe PhotoDeluxe, something I really wasn't expecting, something I don't really want or need at the moment....
Then I almost broke down and shed tears. Yet, this happens again. Mother tries to get something I REALLY want but ends up getting something completely opposite. I am in awe to the fact that she tries to do things for me in such a loving and careful manner....
I believe I may have to have a talk with her tonight. Try and sort things out before she gets me anything for Christmas.

What hurts the most, was being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
Never knowing, what could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do

There is no "I" in "team", but there is an "I" in "pie". There's an "I" in "meat pie". The anagram of "meat" is "team".
